About the role

At gt.school, we challenge our gifted students to advance at their own pace, using AI-powered instruction and focusing on developing essential life skills and character traits.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate interactive life-skills workshops to help gifted K-3 learners build communication, focus, leadership, resilience, and other enduring competencies through active engagement.
• Provide one-on-one and small-group coaching, leveraging learning analytics to ensure every student moves toward ambitious weekly learning objectives.
• Evaluate life-skill competency using gt.school's Test2Pass approach, continuing to coach students until they show true understanding and consistent application.
• Tailor coaching methods to meet the developmental realities of your cohort, blending creativity and playfulness with remarkably high standards for what young children can achieve.
• Cultivate relationships that encourage gifted students to take on challenging tasks, persevere through obstacles, and build character that matches their cognitive potential.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree accompanied by a personal history of exceptional academic achievement.
• Minimum of 3 years of direct experience working with children ages 4-9 in teaching, coaching, tutoring, camps, youth programs, or comparable settings.
• A concrete example of inspiring a young child to reach a demanding goal, describing the goal itself, your methods, and the result.
• Experience with AI-powered learning tools while dedicating your own efforts to coaching, motivation, and life-skill cultivation.
• Capacity to combine warmth with firm expectations for all students.
• Availability to work full-time on-site in Georgetown, Texas.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship.

Nice-to-have Requirements

• Background working with gifted, accelerated, or highly advanced students.
• Experience in youth athletics, children's theater, camp leadership, Montessori education, progressive schooling, or high-engagement enrichment initiatives.
• Exceptional storytelling or presentation abilities that naturally captivate young children.
• Demonstrated success in helping highly capable children surpass what they thought possible.

Qualifications

• Exceptional academic performance, shown through achievements such as acceptance to a highly selective university, exceptional grades, prestigious academic honors, advanced coursework, competitive scholarships, academic competitions, or equivalent accomplishments.

$50 USD/hour, which equates to $100,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year.
