What You Will Be Doing
- Facilitate engaging life-skills workshops that help gifted K-3 students build communication, focus, leadership, resilience, and other enduring skills through active involvement rather than passive listening.
- Coach students individually and in small groups, utilizing Coachbot analytics, proven motivation systems, and strong relationships to ensure every student advances toward ambitious weekly learning objectives.
- Evaluate life-skill mastery using gt.school's Test2Pass framework, coaching students until they demonstrate genuine comprehension and consistent application.
- Tailor your coaching approach to the developmental needs of your cohort, blending creativity and playfulness with exceptionally high expectations for what young learners can achieve.
- Cultivate relationships that challenge gifted students to embrace demanding work, persist through difficulties, and develop character that matches their intellectual capacity.
What You Won’t Be Doing
- Delivering academic instruction from the front of the classroom.
- Students learn core academic content through adaptive, AI-powered software.
- Constraining gifted students because of traditional grade-level expectations.
- Creating curriculum from scratch.
- Supervising students as they work independently.
- Reducing standards when students face difficult challenges.
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with a personal record of exceptional academic achievement.
- A history of outstanding academic performance, evidenced through accomplishments such as admission to a highly selective university, exceptional grades, prestigious academic awards, advanced coursework, competitive scholarships, academic competitions, or comparable achievements.
- At least 3 years of experience working directly with children ages 4-9 through teaching, coaching, tutoring, camps, youth programs, or similar settings.
- A specific example of motivating a young child to achieve a challenging goal, including the goal, your approach, and the outcome.
- Comfort using AI-powered learning while focusing your own energy on coaching, motivation, and life-skill development.
- The ability to balance warmth with unwavering expectations for every student.
- Willingness to work full-time on-site in Georgetown, Texas.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
Nice-to-have Requirements
- Experience working with gifted, accelerated, or highly advanced learners.
- Experience in youth sports, children's theater, camp leadership, Montessori, progressive education, or high-engagement enrichment programs.
- Outstanding storytelling or presentation skills that naturally engage young children.
- A track record of helping exceptionally capable children stretch beyond what they believed they could accomplish.
