Early childhood teachers support preschool students through developmentally appropriate, play-based learning experiences. Teachers conduct assessments and observations to inform instruction and monitor progress, partnering with families and support staff to build culturally responsive relationships.

Responsibilities

• Design meaningful, engaging learning experiences that prepare students for the future.
• Create inclusive, relevant learning environments centered on students' interests, strengths, and needs.
• Develop strong academic skills and essential career and life competencies.
• Support preschool students through developmentally appropriate, play-based learning.
• Differentiate instruction to meet individual developmental needs.
• Conduct assessments and observations to inform instruction and monitor student progress.
• Build family-centered, culturally responsive relationships to support learning at school and home.
• Reflect on and refine teaching practices through collaboration and feedback.

Requirements

• B.A. or B.S. degree.
• Holds or is eligible for a Minnesota State Licensure in Early Childhood Education.
• Commitment to the equitable education of all students.
• Creative planning and organizational skills.
• Highly effective interpersonal skills.

Preferred qualifications include:

• Excellence in collaboration with colleagues and enthusiasm for working with students.
• Demonstrated commitment to ongoing learning (e.g., graduate-level work, participation in professional conferences).
• Experience working with diverse learners.

Pay

Salary range: $53,228–$107,781 per school year (placement determined based on experience and qualifications). Salary is pro-rated based on start date.
