Responsibilities
- Plans and practices consistently reflecting knowledge of content and instructional strategies specific to the discipline.
- Actively seeks knowledge of students, considering their backgrounds, cultures, skills, language proficiency, interests, and special needs.
- Establishes instructional objectives that align with high-level learning standards and cater to diverse learners.
- Utilizes available resources and technology to enhance teaching effectiveness and student performance.

- Manages instructional groups effectively, ensuring students are productively engaged and focused.
- Smoothly manages transitions and maintains a positive school climate.

Requirements
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License with proper endorsement(s).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Benefits
The North Shore School District provides excellent benefits, including TRS Retirement Pension Service Credit, paid sick, personal, and bereavement leave, and other benefits. Salary is determined by the NSEA New Teacher Hire Grid (Collective Bargaining Agreement) for the 2026-2027 school year.
