Location: Lincoln, NE
Setting: School-Based, Pre-K Classroom
Contract Length: 39 Weeks
Start Date: August 17, 2026
Interview: 30-Minute Virtual Interview with District Director
Dress Code: Professional Casual
Orientation: 1–2 Days with the District

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized instruction and support for students with diverse learning needs.
• Create a positive, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Collaborate with families, administrators, and educational staff.
• Develop and implement individualized learning plans.
• Support student growth through creative, developmentally appropriate teaching strategies.
• Maintain compliance with all special education requirements and documentation.

Requirements

• Valid Nebraska Teaching Certificate.
• Must hold one of the following endorsements:
  • Early Childhood Special Education Endorsement, or
  • Early Childhood Inclusive Endorsement, or
  • Early Childhood Endorsement and K–6 Special Education Endorsement.
• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university.
• Previous teaching experience preferred.
• Must meet all applicable federal, state, and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Preferred Qualifications

• Standard Elementary, Secondary, or Special Education Teaching Certification.
• Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) Endorsement.
• Current CPR certification (if applicable).
• Current health documentation and TB screening requirements (if applicable).

Pay

Local Pay Rate: $42/hour

Schedule

40 Hours per Week
Full school-year schedule with steady hours
Strong potential for extension into the following school year
