About the role
Paraprofessional needed to support Early Childhood Special Education at Afton Lakeland Elementary Integrated Preschool Classroom, working with students with Developmental Delay, Emotional/Behavior Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, High Needs, and other disabilities. Experience working with young children (birth - age 5) with special needs preferred. Candidate may need to provide support such as toileting.
Schedule
- 26 hours per week at Lake Elmo Elementary School
- 7:25 AM – 2:25 PM, Monday–Thursday
Requirements
To work as a Special Education Paraprofessional, you must meet the state requirement of being Highly Qualified within 10 days of your first day of work. To be considered Highly Qualified, you must have ONE of the following:
- A Bachelor's Degree, or
- An Associate's Degree, or
- 60+ credits of post-secondary education, or
- A passing score on the ParaPro Exam.
Please be prepared to submit documentation in support of your qualifications. Acceptable documentation includes transcripts from the college/university or a copy of the ParaPro Exam report.
Pay
$21.00 per hour
