Early Childhood Special Education Paraprofessional - 16 hours/per week at Brookview Elementary

About the role

Paraprofessional needed to support Early Childhood Special Education at Brookview Elementary Integrated Preschool Classroom, working with students with Developmental Delay, Emotional/Behavior Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, High Needs and other disabilities. Experience working with young children (birth‑age 5) with special needs is preferred. The role may include providing support such as toileting. Start date: ASAP.

Responsibilities

• Support Early Childhood Special Education in the Integrated Preschool Classroom at Brookview Elementary.
• Work with students who have Developmental Delay, Emotional/Behavior Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, High Needs, and other disabilities.
• Provide assistance with daily activities, including toileting support as needed.
• Preferred experience working with children birth‑age 5 with special needs.

Requirements

• Must meet the state requirement of being Highly Qualified within 10 days of the first day of work.
• To be considered Highly Qualified, you must have ONE of the following:
  • A Bachelor’s Degree,
  • An Associate’s Degree,
  • 60+ credits of post‑secondary education, or
  • A passing score on the ParaPro Exam.
• Be prepared to submit documentation (transcripts or a copy of the ParaPro Exam report) to verify qualifications.

Pay

$21.00/hour

Schedule

16 hours per week at Lake Elmo Elementary School (10:15 AM‑2:15 PM, Monday‑Thursday).
