Early Childhood Lead Teacher - $1,000 Signing Bonus

About the role

Zoot Adventure Learning Academy is seeking a full-time Early Childhood Lead Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will collaborate with the Director to create and implement a program that meets the diverse needs of young children.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the childcare environment, set up interest centers, and prepare materials and supplies.
• Assist with daily classroom schedules and activities as instructed.
• Respond to children with dignity and respect, providing support as needed.
• Provide care for children, including diaper changes, feeding, and naptime.
• Manage meal service, track attendance, and ensure safe food handling practices.
• Manage inventory and report low stock to supervisor.
• Maintain a safe and healthy environment, inspecting and replacing damaged materials.
• Comply with licensing regulations and policies, and report suspected abuse.
• Attend staff meetings, recommended training programs, and conferences.
• Help with special events setup and tear down.
• Complete annual training and pass state-regulated background screenings.
• Communicate with families and colleagues as needed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Valid State of Montana Driver License with a clean driving record
• Current immunizations: Tetanus, MMR
• Adult/Infant First Aid/AED/CPR Certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
• Previous childcare experience with ages 6 weeks – 6 years old preferred
• Excellent oral and written language skills
• Ability to pass state-regulated background screening
• Willingness to complete 16 hours of annual training

• Ability to manage a classroom environment and supervise staff
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Physical stamina to perform tasks in a childcare setting

Pay

$18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Schedule

This position will be scheduled for 40 hours per week Monday - Friday.
