Childcare Lead Teacher ($500 Sign On Bonus)

About the role

Little Hands Daycare is a licensed childcare center seeking Lead Teachers for Infant and Preschool age groups.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• One year of classroom experience
• Ability to pass all background checks
• CDA or AA highly preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare lesson plans that are developmentally appropriate one week in advance using current curriculum guides
• Implement lesson plans/curriculum on a weekly basis covering all areas of child development and carry out lesson plans according to classroom schedule/daily routine
• Use parent communication app efficiently
• Establish a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children
• Responsible for the safety and well-being of each child, responding to their emotional needs
• Maintain an organized, clean, safe, and appropriately decorated classroom
• Maintain a child assessment and portfolio for each child
• Conduct biannual parent/teacher conferences during the month of November and May
• Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role
• Carry out the daily responsibilities of the classroom relating to the care of the children

Pay

$17.50–$19.50 per hour, based on education and experience

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:30pm
