About the role
Little Hands Daycare is a licensed childcare center seeking Lead Teachers for Infant and Preschool age groups.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- One year of classroom experience
- Ability to pass all background checks
- CDA or AA highly preferred
Responsibilities
- Prepare lesson plans that are developmentally appropriate one week in advance using current curriculum guides
- Implement lesson plans/curriculum on a weekly basis covering all areas of child development and carry out lesson plans according to classroom schedule/daily routine
- Use parent communication app efficiently
- Establish a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children
- Responsible for the safety and well-being of each child, responding to their emotional needs
- Maintain an organized, clean, safe, and appropriately decorated classroom
- Maintain a child assessment and portfolio for each child
- Conduct biannual parent/teacher conferences during November and May
- Carry out the daily responsibilities of the classroom relating to the care of the children
- Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role

Pay
$17.50-$19.50 per hour, based on education and experience
Schedule
Monday – Friday, 8:30am–5:30pm
$500 Sign On Bonus! Full-time only. Paid out in two halves after 30 and 90 days of employment.
