Early Childhood Educator

About the Role

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Collierville, TN. The Early Childhood Educator plans and implements developmentally appropriate lessons and activities that foster social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth for young children. Current opportunities include positions in the infant (0-12 months), toddler (12-24 months), and preschool (ages 3-4) classrooms.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, inclusive classroom environment and guide children through daily routines using positive behavior support strategies.
• Observe and document child progress, and communicate regularly with families.
• Collaborate with colleagues and maintain classroom organization and cleanliness.
• Participate in professional development and contribute to school events and family engagement activities.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills, including clear communication, collaboration, and the ability to build trusting relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
• Knowledge of early childhood development and working with children, including understanding developmental milestones, age-appropriate practices, and classroom management.
• Creativity skills to design engaging, play-based learning experiences and adapt activities to meet diverse learning needs.
• Organization skills to manage classroom materials, maintain documentation, and support smooth daily routines.
• Experience in early childhood or preschool settings, familiarity with child safety and health guidelines, and a passion for nurturing inclusive, culturally responsive learning environments are beneficial.
• An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience or Child Development Associate credential, is strongly preferred; state-specific licensing or credentials are a plus.
