About the role

You will provide high-quality care and education to children enrolled at Lorikeet Early Learning Centre, ensuring families working within SESLHD can carry out their duties knowing their children are safe and secure. You will work with the Director and other staff on all matters important to the care and education of the children and the smooth running of the service, ensuring paramount consideration is given to the rights, wellbeing, and safety of the children when making all decisions. You will maintain practices in accordance with the National Quality Framework as well as all Lorikeet, SESLHD, and NSW Health policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality care and education to children aged 0–5 years in an approved Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) service.
  • Support curriculum development and document children’s learning and development.
  • Ensure compliance with the National Quality Framework, Lorikeet policies, SESLHD policies, and NSW Health policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to a child-safe environment and prioritize the rights, wellbeing, and safety of children in all decisions.
  • Communicate effectively with management, colleagues, and families through verbal and written means.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Certificate III in Early Childhood Education & Care or equivalent (as approved by ACECQA).
  • Qualifications equivalent to HLTAID012 (Provide first aid in an education and care setting), covering Provide First Aid and emergency response to asthma and anaphylaxis (as approved by ACECQA).
  • Experience working in an approved ECEC service with children aged 0–5 years.
  • Sound, practical working knowledge of the National Quality Framework.
  • Commitment to providing a child-safe environment.

Pay

$61,407.92 - $69,503.42 per annum plus superannuation.
