Early Childhood Development Educator - Infant/Toddler
The Bennett Family Center, located on the University Park campus, seeks an Early Childhood Development Educator – Intermediate Professional (working with children 6 weeks to 3 years old). The ideal candidate will:
- Support and maintain high quality classroom standards in a laboratory setting
- Coordinate and implement an innovative curriculum model with a team of colleagues
- Establish and maintain relationships of cooperation and respect with all co-workers, supervisors, and families
- Provide oversight and training of interns and student teachers in early childhood education undergraduate programs
- Maintain standards in accordance with National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) accreditation and PA Keystone STARS 4 quality standards
Minimum requirements: Bachelor's degree plus 1 year of relevant experience. Required certifications include a Child Development (CDA) Credential.
A health physical with TB test is required prior to starting the position. Clearances required include: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check, and the National Sex Offender Registry Clearance (NSOR).
The salary range for this position is $36,888.00 - $53,532.00. Benefits include comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, robust retirement plans, substantial paid time off, and a 75% tuition discount for eligible family members.
