About the role
As an Early Career Transportation CADD Technician, you'll support diverse transportation engineering projects while building your technical skills in a mentoring-focused environment. You'll produce detailed technical drawings and gain exposure to projects across multiple regions, all while receiving hands-on training from senior designers and engineers. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or early-career professionals eager to develop expertise in civil and transportation CADD drafting while contributing to infrastructure projects that serve communities nationwide.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior designers and engineers to support development and execution of transportation CADD drafting and design projects
- Collaborate with engineers to support the development of detailed drawings for construction plans from engineering notes, sketches, markups and other reference materials
- Produce accurate and detailed technical drawings using CADD software under direction of senior designers and engineers
- Ensure that all documentation meets client standards, project specifications, and regulatory standards
- Provide valuable support on projects across various regions
- Gain exposure to diverse transportation design standards and practices
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Vocational school, associate degree, or certificate in CADD technology, drafting, civil engineering technology, or related field, preferred
- 0 - 2 years of experience with civil CADD drafting
- Familiarity with MS Office Suite required; experience with a CADD platform a plus (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, or OpenRoads)
- Willingness to learn new CADD platforms as needed
- Basic understanding of civil design concepts, especially in transportation
