  • Manage assigned requisitions through the full recruiting lifecycle, including sourcing, applicant review, candidate assessment, interviews, selection, offers, and pre-employment activities.
  • Recruit early-career talent across a broad range of technical, non-technical, business, and functional roles aligned to GM’s evolving workforce needs.
  • Build and maintain candidate pipelines through university relationships, career fairs, student organizations, conferences, referrals, direct sourcing, and talent community engagement.
  • Support targeted campus and virtual engagement strategies that align with GM’s hiring needs and priority talent markets.
  • Partner with hiring managers and interview teams to support consistent, structured, and timely assessment processes.
  • Coordinate with recruiting coordinators, sourcers, ECT program managers, Talent Marketing, HR partners, and other cross-functional stakeholders to keep hiring activity moving and ownership clear.
  • Deliver a positive candidate experience through clear expectations, timely communication, interview preparation, thoughtful follow-up, and ongoing engagement through the offer and start process.
  • Support intern conversion, returning intern, graduating intern, co-op, and new college graduate hiring activities as assigned.
  • Maintain accurate and timely recruiting activity, candidate status, and requisition information in Workday and other Talent Acquisition systems.
  • Use recruiting data and market insights to identify bottlenecks, communicate risks, and recommend practical improvements to recruiting plans and processes.
  • Represent GM at university events, student programs, professional conferences, and other talent engagement activities as needed.
  • Demonstrate GM Behaviors by owning outcomes, moving with urgency, leading as one team, committing to customers, being inclusive, and speaking fearlessly.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3 or more years of professional experience in Talent Acquisition, recruiting, human resources, or a related field.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities, requisitions, or searches in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience partnering with hiring managers and cross-functional stakeholders to define requirements and move candidates through the recruiting process
