In our Engineering & Technology Program, you’ll support product engineering projects driving the next wave of innovation for Eaton’s products.

Responsibilities

  • Design and Simulation
  • Product Testing
  • Design Validation
  • Participation in product launch cycle for new product development
  • Prototype Development and Testing
  • Participation in Voice of the Customer product and marketing research
  • Cost Saving initiatives for legacy or existing product lines

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, engineering technology or applied engineering from an accredited institution with a graduation date before August 2027
  • Minimum of one internship/co-op experience or an equivalent of 3 months of mechanical design experience completed at the time of this application
  • Minimum overall cumulative GPA of 2.8
  • Must be geographically flexible to relocate within the United States
  • Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position

Qualifications

  • Actively enrolled or received a bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering
  • Overall cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher
  • Demonstrated leadership experience within campus and/or community
  • Two or more relevant Internships or Co-op experiences
  • Experience in CAD, SolidWorks, and/or CREO solid modeling
  • Demonstrated exposure to machine learning or AI concepts through coursework, internships, research, or personal projects including experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot), experience in prompt engineering, and working with generative AI models and simulation tools

Position Criteria

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to effectively explain technical concepts
  • This role may include travel (up to 25%) within a local region as determined by the Engineering & Technology Assignment Manager
  • Demonstrate geographic flexibility to relocate within the United States throughout the duration and completion of the Development Program to an Eaton facility including (but not limited to): Pittsburgh, PA; Asheville, NC; or Milwaukee, WI

Pay

  • $82,000 annual salary (bachelor’s degree) with a one-time $6,000 signing bonus
  • $90,000 annual salary (master’s degree) with a one-time $12,000 signing bonus
