Responsibilities

  • Gathering customer and system connectivity requirements used as inputs into building resilient network solutions.
  • Coinciding with stakeholders/suppliers/vendors, both internal and external, to ensure on-time project delivery.
  • Ownership of factory, design, datacenter and sales office network documentation and plans for their area(s) of the infrastructure.
  • Collaborating to develop technology roadmaps, considering business needs and in alignment to overall IT strategies.
  • Sustaining and troubleshooting network faults during break/fix activities and events.
  • Periodic review of network capacity, usage and health metrics for respective area(s) of responsibility to plan for upgrades or performance adjustments.
  • Collaborating with other IT groups to understand the future requirements for network capacity at TI's locations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or relevant technical field, 3-5 years of work experience responsible for designing, deploying and operating large-scale networks.
  • Preferred qualifications: Current CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) certification or equivalent, deep understanding and hands-on experience with Arista campus and datacenter architecture, including Spine and Leaf topologies, proven ability to implement and manage network segmentation and micro-segmentation strategies, familiarity with Software-Defined Networking (SDN) concepts and practical application, understanding network automation tools, specifically CVP, CVAAS, and AVD, expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), demonstrated through experience with Python, Ansible, and Terraform, experience in cloud architecture (AWS, GCP, Azure), particularly with cloud connectivity solutions like VPN and Direct Connect.

About the Role

Texas Instruments is seeking an IT Network Engineer to plan, architect, design, budget and implement LAN, Wireless and WAN network solutions for its Manufacturing and Enterprise locations, across multiple platforms and protocols to support TI's business needs. The engineer will also participate in day-to-day operations support as needed.
