Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Carry out geotechnical field investigations
- Monitor heavy civil construction projects
- Install and monitor geotechnical instrumentation
- Perform and review engineering calculations
- Engage in earthquake engineering
- Design and permit landfills
- Evaluate dams and levees
- Create construction documentation
- Write and review engineering reports
Education and Licensure
- Bachelor's degree in civil and/or environmental engineering or geology
- Advanced degree preferred
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certification preferred
Skills, Experience And Qualifications
- Prior internship or work experience in engineering consulting preferred
- Experience with geotechnical and engineering software such as AutoCAD, Slope/W, and PLAXIS preferred
- Regular field work and overnight travel required
- Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing required
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and satisfactory driving record required
