EAP Intern

About the role

Intern students gain work experience that can be applied to future career goals. The work experience and projects are related to the student's field of study and support Intermountain's mission, vision, and values.

Responsibilities

• Participates in a variety of projects that support the needs of the department/facility.
• Works with team members to identify solutions and performs tasks that accomplish individual and team goals.
• Attends team/department meetings and actively participates, sharing knowledge and skills pertinent to the meeting.
• Gains knowledge of the department's/facility's functions, potentially job shadowing various roles to understand their place in the organization.
• Works with other members of the department/facility to accomplish assigned tasks.
• May be assigned one or more specific projects during the internship, demonstrating an understanding of the process and accountability for results/outcomes.
• Works independently or as part of a team to complete tasks necessary for project success, involving others when needed and meeting project timelines.
• Provides staff operational/clerical support to the department/facility as needed.

Requirements

• Concurrently enrolled in and progressing through an education program in a related field of study.
• Must provide documentation of enrollment in an accredited program, any earned degree, or certification that may be required.
• Demonstrated proficiency in the knowledge and skills directly related to the intern opportunity.
• Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills.
• Demonstrated organization skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to consistently maintain a good rapport and positive demeanor with employees and customers.
• Demonstrated initiative and willingness to take on additional assignments when needed.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a related field.
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift as required by the role.

Schedule

10 scheduled weekly hours

Pay

Hourly rate: $7.25 - $999.99 (actual rate dependent upon experience)
