About the role
Under the direction of the Versiti Director, HR Services, this position ensures delivery and alignment of HR Services to support achievement of business objectives. Responsible for aligning HR policies and practices related to talent acquisition and recruitment, proactively assessing and coordinating talent acquisition programs in compliance with organizational policies, federal and state regulations, and seeking integrated solutions that deliver value-added service. Works closely with HR Business Partners and management to ensure workforce alignment with business needs.
Responsibilities
- Consults with HR Business Partners and management to create appropriate recruitment planning models and ensure ongoing alignment with workforce needs while filling open positions based on employment requisitions; maintains staffing requirements within budget guidelines and according to federal and state regulations, HR policies, and Affirmative Action Plan (AAP) guidelines; ensures the best applicant match for the position is hired.
- Responsible for sourcing candidates and ensuring an adequate and diverse applicant pool of qualified applicants through advertising, career fairs, community events, and tours, in compliance with applicable employment laws.
- Coordinates the selection, validation, and implementation of appropriate testing; ensures checklists and/or tests are conducted consistently and appropriately with all applicants for specified positions, and that results are interpreted in accordance with AAP guidelines.
- Reviews, selects, and interviews internal and external applicants and recommends qualified candidates for open positions in line with AAP requirements and federal and state employment requirements.
- Manages advertising budget and works within approved budget guidelines.
- Coordinates and directs the offer of employment based on policies; ensures policies related to employment offers are followed, including reference checks, internally equitable and externally competitive compensation, drug screening, and criminal background checks.
- Coordinates recruitment process of visa-sponsored employees, ensuring necessary documentation is received and filed appropriately.
- Collaborates with Human Resource staff and management and provides guidance regarding internal position transfers, promotions, and demotions based on AAP guidelines and HR policies.
- May assist in HR hiring metrics reporting; analyzes data/trends in partnership with HR Business Partner to develop solutions.
- Coordinates the preparation and review of the Affirmative Action Plan (AAP).
- Shares in the design of recruitment systems and programs; reviews and keeps current employment policies and procedures.
- Maintains recruitment module for talent management system and participates in the implementation of new modules.
- Collaborates with the HR Team in process improvement.
- Maintains ongoing focus on teamwork and communication to improve processes that ensure efficiency and cost-effective HR services.
- Delivers service aligned with department guiding principles.
- Supports mission, vision, and values as well as departmental goals and objectives.
- Responsible for maintaining strict confidentiality of information and records at all times.
- Maintains required records, reports, and files pertaining to areas of responsibility.
- Displays commitment to continuous learning, including own professional development as well as sharing information and learning with other team members.
- Participates in the formulation of the budget, HR policies and procedures, measurement tools, and long-range planning as part of the HR team.
- Provides support in developing, presenting, and coordinating training and education programs to build management and staff skills.
- Participates in and may lead sub-teams to establish and achieve process improvement goals.
- Serves as a resource to HR staff for complex employment questions.
- Meets regularly with HR Business Partners to ensure ongoing alignment with workforce needs of the organization.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in human resources, business, or related field required.
- 4-6 years of progressive human resource experience in a high-volume, fast-paced recruitment environment, which includes using behavioral interviewing techniques and working in partnership with business leaders and employees to support the execution of organizational goals and objectives.
- Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook) required.
- Experience with integrated Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) and talent/recruitment management systems preferred.
- Previous experience in a health care work environment preferred.

Qualifications
- Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification preferred.

The target salary is based on internal averages. Versiti sets salary ranges aligned to local markets in which the job is performed. Compensation decisions take into account internal salary averages and differentiation based on education, experience, skills, and performance.
