E&I Technician - Night Shift
Main Responsibilities
- Perform electrical and mechanical system preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair in a team environment.
- Follow Food Factory Good Management Practices (GMPs) to guarantee food safety.
- Work safely following all required safe practices including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), risk predictions, and work permits.
- Utilize SAP Plant Maintenance CMMS system to document activities such as planned work, repair, and future work needed.
- Proactively utilize available resources for troubleshooting and repair, including operators' maintenance team electrical prints, manuals, OEM websites, and resources.
- Properly and safely utilize tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Perform all work in a professional and workmanlike manner.
- Identify parts required for repairs using available resources, bills of materials, parts lists, manuals, mechanical assembly drawings, etc.
- Perform machine adjustments as required to support operations.
- Examples of commonly encountered electrical devices and systems include switchgear and power distribution devices, MCCs, safety circuits, disconnects, fuses, PLC automation, motors, motor starters, relays, circuit breakers, VFDs, photo eyes, prox switches, relays, motor starters, temperature probes, level sensors, flow meters, control valves, and more.
About You
- Associates degree in maintenance-related field or equivalent experience in Electrical Maintenance or Industrial Automation.
- 3 years of prior experience as an Electrical/Mechanical Technician, or 2-year technical degree in Electrical Maintenance or Industrial Automation with 1 year of prior experience as an Electrical/Mechanical Technician.
- Prior work experience must include diagnostic, troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing defective parts, adjusting machinery, and modifying units to meet proper operating specifications.
- Able to work overtime when required.
- Able to use computers to navigate systems, record information, locate necessary information to perform the job.
- Able to use basic mathematical skills for machine and mechanical systems maintenance, calibrations, and repairs.
- Working knowledge in pipefitting and rigging, basic knowledge of steam distribution systems and principles, working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic principles, advanced understanding of industrial electricity including motor basics and controls, advanced knowledge of industrial automation and PLC-based controls, communication skills, critical thinking skills.
