E&I Technician - Days

About the role

Domtar, Menominee Operations is seeking a talented individual to join our team as an E&I Technician. This is a day shift position in an exceptionally clean work environment with a strong commitment to safety, boasting nearly 16 years without a lost-time accident and almost 14 years without a recordable accident.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation equipment in support of all assets and equipment.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance tasks to improve mill uptime and reliability.
• Assemble and install new machinery and equipment.
• Read and interpret machine drawings.
• Troubleshoot DCS (Distributed Control Systems) and perform hardware and communications equipment troubleshooting, including board-level replacement.
• Calibrate and maintain all tagged field instrumentation.
• Troubleshoot field devices using technology such as Delta-V and Allen-Bradley PLCs.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• A valid journeyman card (indicating successful completion of an accredited apprenticeship program) is preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered.
• Four (4) years of experience in a related field and three (3) to five (5) years in an industrial environment.
• Proficient computer skills and experience with electronic work orders.
• Self-directed with excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Available to work varying hours, including shifts, weekends, holidays, scheduled and unscheduled overtime, and respond to emergency call-ins.
• Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Pass pre-employment background check and drug screen.
• Wear required personal protective equipment and work in industrial conditions.

• Positive work attitude and a keen sense of responsibility, particularly regarding safety and environmental policies and procedures.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Pay

Starting hourly wage of $38.26, with opportunities for overtime available.
