About the role
We are seeking an Electronics and Instrumentation Technician to join our manufacturing team. Candidates must have strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to work and communicate efficiently and safely. Technicians will collaborate with the maintenance team, operators, engineers, and mechanics, and must be willing to take ownership of assigned assets, equipment, or areas.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, maintain, upgrade, repair, and perform both predictive and preventive maintenance on production process equipment, instrumentation, and electrical systems to ensure a quality product.
- Maintain area housekeeping to ensure a safe workplace.
- Interact with other Technicians to share maintenance knowledge on similar equipment or related maintenance problems.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Electronics Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering Technology, or an equivalent technical college curriculum, or equivalent training obtained via the Military.
- Minimum of 2 years of prior applicable industrial maintenance experience.
- Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and planning skills.
- Willingness to work a rotating 4 days on – 4 days off shift or M-F day shift.
- Willingness to work overtime and respond to emergency call-ins as needed.
Qualifications
The successful candidate should have knowledge of:
- Basic operation of DC & AC circuits.
- Basic operation of 3-phase AC power.
- DC/AC motor theory.
- DC/AC drive theory.
- Function and operation of fuses and circuit breakers.
- Electrical relay logic circuits.
- Operation of PLCs.
- Temperature, pressure, and flow control loops.
- How to read and interpret electrical drawings and instrument loop sheets.
- How to read, interpret, and troubleshoot PLC programs.
- How to use basic hand tools (including Volt-Ohm meters).
Pay
The hourly range for this position is $33.50 – $36.24. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence the base pay offered. This salary may be subject to a geographic adjustment if authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in the posting.
Schedule
- Rotating 4 days on – 4 days off shift or M-F day shift.
- Overtime and emergency call-in work as needed.
