E & I Technician

Primary Duties / Responsibilities

• Performs the following duties:
• Numeracy; take accurate measurements using precision instruments (eg. dial indicator ,micrometer)
• Blueprint reading; have the ability to work from Prints and schematics
• Aerial Lift and other elevated work (Fall protection)
• Hot work
• Scaffolding
• Crane Safety
• Overhead Crane & Hoist Safety
• Fall Protection
• Line Breaking
• Predictive Maintenance
• Conduit Fabrication

Qualifications

• High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED) required
• Associate’s degree with an emphasis in Electrical/Mechanical skills preferred
• 5 (five) years work experience
• Must have completed schooling for a trade skill with a 3.0 or greater GPA or have a documented trade skill (or have 1 year or greater, work experience as a Journeyman Instrument/Electrical Technician)
• Must have completed 4160 hours of on the job training, or have documented 5 years or greater in related industrial experience and skill.
• Must have completed 600 hours of classroom (on-line or face to face) training including listed primary duties or have 1 year work experience as an I/E Journeyman
• Knowledge / Skills / Abilities: Strong team player, Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, Time management: the ability to organize and manage multiple deadlines, 40 hr. OSHA HAZWOPER and complete entry level training (LOTO, Line Breaking, Hotwork), Forklift certification, Problem solving; Must have the mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot and repair various complex pieces of equipment independently.
