Primary Duties / Responsibilities
- Performs the following duties:
- Numeracy; take accurate measurements using precision instruments (eg. dial indicator ,micrometer)
- Blueprint reading; have the ability to work from Prints and schematics
- Aerial Lift and other elevated work (Fall protection)
- Hot work
- Scaffolding
- Crane Safety
- Overhead Crane & Hoist Safety
- Fall Protection
- Line Breaking
- Predictive Maintenance
- Conduit Fabrication
Qualifications
- High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED) required
- Associate’s degree with an emphasis in Electrical/Mechanical skills preferred
- 5 (five) years work experience
- Must have completed schooling for a trade skill with a 3.0 or greater GPA or have a documented trade skill (or have 1 year or greater, work experience as a Journeyman Instrument/Electrical Technician)
- Must have completed 4160 hours of on the job training, or have documented 5 years or greater in related industrial experience and skill.
- Must have completed 600 hours of classroom (on-line or face to face) training including listed primary duties or have 1 year work experience as an I/E Journeyman
- Knowledge / Skills / Abilities: Strong team player, Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, Time management: the ability to organize and manage multiple deadlines, 40 hr. OSHA HAZWOPER and complete entry level training (LOTO, Line Breaking, Hotwork), Forklift certification, Problem solving; Must have the mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot and repair various complex pieces of equipment independently.
