About the role
The E-CLIP Production Operator uses various types of machine equipment to assist with manufacturing the NARSTCO product in an efficient and safe manner. This role involves cooperating as a team with other workers to produce a high-quality product that meets customer needs and goals.
Responsibilities
- Work safely following all required safety and work protocols, including wearing personnel protective equipment as required.
- Carry out production activities for processing all NARSTCO products to the full extent required.
- Follow instructions from the Production Foreman and Team Leads.
- Ensure the correct number of pieces are placed into racks, band product bundles, and mark and inspect bundles as instructed.
- Move material with a forklift from finished bundle racks to designated staging areas.
- Load infeed with proper capacity using a forklift.
- Maintain departmental housekeeping standards.
- Work at a reasonable pace (measured by production efficiency) and within quality standards to ensure timely completion.
- Assist new employees in safe and efficient production, including following standard operating procedures and instructional material.
- Exercise integrity, honesty, and good faith in all dealings with the Company, customers, employees, suppliers, and other public entities.
- Provide other reasonable services as requested by the Company.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED.
- One to two years’ experience in manufacturing.
- One to two years of forklift operation and certification (a bonus).
- Basic reading and mathematics skills.
- Knowledge and experience in working with punch press, form press, forklift, using calipers, reading a tape measure, operation of PLC equipment, grinders, and machine fabrication tools (preferred).
- Basic maintenance knowledge, such as tightening and loosening bolts (preferred).
- Ability to follow instructions, drawings, and dimensions as required for quality.
- Ability to work well with tools and machinery.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- Works both outdoors and indoors.
- Frequently stands, walks, climbs, balances, lifts, bends, and moves objects up to 50 pounds.
- Exposed to all weather conditions, including very hot and very cold weather.
- Exposed to loud noise.
