Dynamics 365 Programmer Analyst
Location: Lansing, MI (hybrid – 2 days onsite per week). Candidates must be located within 90 miles of Lansing, MI at the time of submission.
About the role
The State of Michigan is seeking an experienced Dynamics 365 Programmer Analyst to support application development, integration, maintenance, and enhancement initiatives for MDCR, MCSC, and MiLEAP. The consultant will provide advanced technical support for Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform solutions and will lead technical activities across the full application lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Lead and perform requirements gathering, analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, documentation, and maintenance of Dynamics 365 and Power Platform solutions.
- Design and document technical architectures spanning multiple platforms, integrations, APIs, and authentication mechanisms.
- Develop and support Power Automate, Power Pages, Dynamics 365, and related Power Platform solutions.
- Manage CI/CD, release management, deployment, and technical change processes using Azure DevOps.
- Provide application, infrastructure, network, and production support while troubleshooting complex technical issues.
- Identify and mitigate technical risks, issues, dependencies, and implementation challenges.
- Work closely with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
- Prepare clear technical documentation, procedures, reports, and presentations.
- Provide technical leadership and communicate complex concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Execute development and deployment activities in accordance with the State of Michigan System Engineering Methodology (SEM).
- Support application releases, updates, integrations, enhancements, and ongoing production operations.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform implementations.
- 3+ years of architecture/technical solution design experience.
- 5+ years of Power Platform experience, particularly Power Automate and Power Pages.
- 5+ years of Azure DevOps experience, including CI/CD and release management.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Azure, Azure Communications, APIs, integrations, and authentication.
- 3+ years of data architecture experience.
- 5+ years of infrastructure, network, application, and technical customer support.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics, Azure, and application support.
- Strong requirements gathering, application analysis, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments and resolve complex issues quickly.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and technical documentation skills.

A senior-level Dynamics 365/Power Platform professional with strong architecture, Azure, DevOps, integration, application support, and technical leadership experience who can independently drive complex assignments from requirements through deployment and production support.
