About the role

Fabrica is seeking two experienced, confident and highly organized Duty Event Managers to join our freelance events team in central Brighton. This is a hands-on role at the heart of our venue operation, ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, solving problems, and delivering exceptional events and customer experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the on-shift delivery of a diverse program of events, from weddings and private celebrations to cinema nights, gigs, art fairs, exhibitions, talks, and workshops.
  • Act as the main point of contact during events, managing freelance staff, contractors, bar operations, and client relationships.
  • Ensure events run safely, smoothly, and professionally while creating positive experiences for everyone who uses the venue.

Requirements

  • Experience in events, hospitality, or venue management.
  • Comfortable leading teams, managing bar operations, and responding calmly to unexpected challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • A strong understanding of health and safety.
