Dump Truck Driver

About the role

Employee essential in the mobilization of materials between facilities, job sites, and customers. Starting pay is $22.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Hauling and dumping asphalt.
• Loading and unloading equipment.
• Partnering with Superintendent/Project Manager to ensure daily schedules are met.
• Adhering to company attendance policy to ensure crew operates at normal efficiency.
• Operating equipment and transporting material under temperature extremes and extended hours (normal shift is 8-12 hours).
• Maintaining a courteous and professional manner with co-workers, customers, and the public.
• Following OSHA/MSHA safety standards.
• Flexibility with last-minute schedule, location, and shift changes; overtime and out-of-town work may be required.
• Transporting material with attention to detail and emphasis on safety.
• Performing or assisting with other positions to ensure job completion.
• Adhering to personal protective equipment (PPE) policy and maintaining individual PPE in functional condition.
• Inspecting truck for maintenance needs and reporting deficiencies promptly.

Requirements

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks throughout shift.
• Comfortable working around heavy equipment and active construction sites.
• Must pass drug test and background check.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
• Must possess Commercial Drivers License (CDL) and necessary endorsements; hazardous materials and tank endorsements may be required for certain hauls.
