Dump Truck Driver

About the role

Shirley Contracting Company, LLC is seeking CDL Drivers, including Dump Truck Drivers, to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a Class B CDL with Manual Transmission, a clean driving record, and the ability to perform manual labor.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate commercial vehicles in various conditions, including heavy traffic, construction sites, and tight areas across Virginia.
• Comply with Department of Transportation (DOT) rules, regulations, and guidelines.
• Complete daily pre- and post-trip inspections and maintain inspection reports.
• Maintain daily mileage logs and work tickets.
• Ensure assigned vehicles are kept clean to a high standard.
• Maintain a positive working relationship with co-workers.
• Be willing to perform manual labor related tasks to support projects.

Requirements

• Class B CDL with Manual Transmission - Required
• Clean Driving Record (No major traffic violations, tickets or accidents for the last 7 years)
• Pass pre-employment DOT physical/drug screening
• Able to pass background checks for secure facility access (preferred)
• Willing to perform manual labor related tasks to support projects

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age and currently authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis
• Base hourly range is $25.00-$30.00 per hour
• Compensation may vary based on education, experience, skills, and geographic location

Pay

Base hourly range is $25.00-$30.00 per hour. Compensation may vary based on a number of factors, including a candidate's education, experience, skills, and geographic location.

Schedule

Start time is 6:00 AM. Overtime and weekends may be required.
