Due Diligence Specialist, Real Estate - Lakeland
About the role
This position manages Real Estate projects including coordinating due diligence functions, managing legal documents and critical date compliance, and coordinating transaction closings for acquisitions, development/redevelopments and dispositions. This position is directly involved in the implementation of the strategy associated with increasing ownership of Publix-anchored retail and non-retail properties.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for coordinating contracts, legal document analysis, and critical date tracking for Real Estate projects.
- Responsible for coordinating and monitoring Due Diligence functions for Real Estate projects.
- Responsible for coordinating, managing and completing transaction closings and post-closing matters for Real Estate projects.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in business, project management or real estate related field, or equivalent experience
- 1-year full time service with Publix Real Estate department or at least 1 year experience in a Real Estate related field
- Knowledge of Real Estate industry processes associated with acquisition and development of properties

Preferred Qualifications
- 5 years in Publix Real Estate department
- Paralegal certificate (preferred, but not required)
- Project Management Professional certificate (preferred, but not required)
- Knowledge of Publix’s processes related to Lease Administration
- Knowledge of Publix and Real Estate team structures and concepts
- Knowledge of Real Estate legal documents and contracts
- Microsoft Word (Advanced)
- Microsoft Excel (Advanced)
- Publix applications such as Tririga/Compass, SAP, Geoportal and Landmark

Pay
Year End Bonus: To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November. In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week’s pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check. In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks’ pay.
