Role Summary
We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst with deep expertise in P&C Personal Lines specifically Dwelling DP3 products to support business requirement analysis, product configuration initiatives, and stakeholder engagement for Duck Creek Policy implementations. The role requires strong onsite presence in Tampa, FL for close collaboration with business and technical teams and hands-on ownership of the end-to-end requirement lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end requirement gathering for Dwelling DP3 product enhancements, new rollouts, and regulatory changes
- Work closely with business stakeholders, underwriting product owners, and compliance teams to understand business needs and translate them into clear functional requirements
- Create and maintain Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs), user stories, acceptance criteria, and traceability matrices aligned with Duck Creek standards
- Collaborate with Duck Creek Policy configuration development and QA teams to ensure accurate interpretation and implementation of requirements
- Support product rollout activities, UAT planning, defect triage, and production validation
- Act as a domain SME for Dwelling products, providing guidance on coverage, rating, underwriting rules, and state-specific variations
- Ensure compliance with state regulations and DOI guidelines applicable to Dwelling products
Primary Skills (Must Have)
- 10 years of overall P&C Insurance experience with strong exposure to Personal Lines
- Handson experience as a Business Analyst on Duck Creek Policy implementations
- Strong domain knowledge of Dwelling Fire products DP3 including Coverages, deductibles, endorsements, Rating, and underwriting rules
- Expertise in requirements elicitation, analysis, and documentation
- Experience working directly with onsite client stakeholders in a customer-facing role
- Solid understanding of Duck Creek product model pages, forms, and workflows from a functional perspective
Secondary Skills (Good Depth Required)
- Experience working in Agile Scrum delivery models
- Strong understanding of UAT processes, defect management, and production support
- Experience with integrations and downstream systems, billing, claims, data reporting from a BA standpoint
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with mid-senior leadership and client executives
