Dual Shield Welder II - Second Shift

Position Responsibilities

• Fit, tack, assemble and weld mild steel plate up to one inch on complex plate exchanger components per drawings
• Layout more complex heat exchanger components
• Sand welds per drawings as needed
• Material handling (forklift, pallet jack)
• Safe use of small tools and equipment to complete daily tasks
• Complete all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner
• Keep work areas clean
• Actively participate in continuous safety and production improvement efforts

Skills & Qualifications

• 2+ years previous Dual Shield mild steel welding using .045 wire experience required. All candidates required to pass welding test
• Comfortable welding large plate heat exchanger components
• High School Diploma or GED
• Basic addition and subtraction/Reading and writing skills
• Able to read tape measure in fractions of an inch
• Ability to read and follow drawings
• Ability to follow directions and focus on completing tasks with minimal supervision
• Willingness to work on a wide range of tasks and flexible to changing priorities
• Ability to wear all appropriate PPE
• Ability to follow safety rules and the 5s principles of a work environment
• Ability to do repetitive work including walking and lifting for extended periods of time
• Capable of lifting 50 lbs

Pay

$25.00 - $26.00/hour
10% hourly shift differential upon working on 2nd shift schedule (4 - 10 hour days)
