About the role

As a Dual Officer at Scandlines, you will have the unique opportunity to combine your maritime education with practical skills in the engine room. You'll be responsible for navigating advanced ships and working with various green technologies.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain ship's engines and other technical equipment.
• Oversee the ship's operational safety and efficiency.
• Utilize your practical skills in the engine room.
• Participate in crewing shifts lasting 3-4 days with 12-hour workdays.

Requirements

• Typically, you will have 30-day sea service periods.
• Must be willing to work on board Scandlines' vessels.

Qualifications

• Education in maritime or related fields.
• Practical experience in the engine room.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
