DTS SimStim Linux Systems Operator

About the role

Torch Technologies is seeking a DTS SimStim Linux Systems Operator to support missile defense and space awareness training events for the Missile Defense Agency (MDA), the Warfighter, and other missile defense and space stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating configuration of the SimStim system for Warfighter training.
• Starting and stopping training events with Warfighters.
• Performing daily activities with DTS teammates operating C2BMC, GST, MDST, and other internal and external elements, as required.
• Loading, configuring, and troubleshooting various Modeling & Simulation components within the DTS Sim/Stim enclave.
• Supporting shift work, including day and night shift operations, as required to meet Warfighter training needs.
• Participating in training events that feature Warfighter Operator-In-The-Loop (OITL) participation as a role-player to promote realism during training.
• Adapting to changing situations and overcoming obstacles in support of mission requirements.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship.
• Associate Degree in Computer Science, a related field or equivalent experience AND 0+ years of related experience.
• Active Secret Clearance.
• Knowledge of missile defense and space awareness concepts of operation, tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs), and Integrated Air & Missile Defense (IAMD) systems.
• Knowledge of networks, protocols, and RHEL commands to troubleshoot various interfaces within and external to the DTS Sim/Stim enclave.

• Ability to adapt to short-term deadlines and work well under pressure.
• Ability to communicate effectively with multiple organizations using a broad spectrum of tools and communicate complex concepts, issues, and status to senior contractor and government leadership.
• Ability to support shift work as required.
