About the Role
AHRC NYC is holding a HIRING EVENT for Full and Part-Time Direct Support Professionals (DSP) for our Manhattan ICF residence.
Pay Rate: $20.60–$20.96 per hour depending on shift and driving status.
Hiring Event: Wednesday, September 3rd, 2026 from 10 AM–1 PM. Location details will be provided to qualified candidates.
Schedule
- 40hr Evening shift: 2 PM–10 PM (Driver’s license required)
- 40hr Weekday Overnight shift: 10 PM–8 AM, Monday through Thursday nights
- 30hr Weekend Overnight shift: 10 PM–8 AM, Friday through Sunday nights (Driver’s license not required)
Weekend availability is required for most positions.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all safety and health considerations
- Promote skill development, interests, and hobbies
- Assist with Adult Daily Living skills (ADLs)
- Perform personalized responsibilities including cooking, cleaning, and hygiene support
- Support individuals’ preferences for community inclusion, activities, work, leisure, and the exercise of their rights
Requirements
- Personal or professional experience supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) preferred
- Professionalism, integrity, and excellent communication skills
- Patience is a must
- Ability to use a computer for data entry
- High school education/GED highly preferred
