DSP/F-T, Thu-Sat 9AM-3PM and Sun 9AM-9PM, 30 Hrs/Week

About the role

UCP Heartland is seeking compassionate and committed Personal Assistants (Direct Care Providers) for full-time shifts. The role offers a positive, team-driven work environment at $21.00/hour.

Schedule

• Overland and Florissant
• Thursday 9 AM–3 PM
• Friday 9 AM–3 PM
• Saturday 9 AM–3 PM
• Sunday 9 AM–9 PM

This is a set 30-hour weekly schedule.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical assistance with daily tasks
• Assist with personal hygiene
• Facilitate fun activities
• Follow medical orders and administer medications
• Assist with ADLs (Activities of Daily Living)
• Lift and transfer (includes ceiling lifts, repositioning in wheelchair, etc.)
• Adaptive transportation
• Shift documentation using Set-Works
• General housekeeping
• Interact with family often
• Provide choices to clients for daily activities and community outings

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Valid driver’s license
• Clean driving record
• Successfully complete and maintain assigned driver’s training
• Minimum of one weekend shift per weekend
• Experience supporting individuals with disabilities or in a customer service field
• Ability to take direction and work with minimal supervision
• Ability to consistently work in a professional, cooperative manner with all agency clients and personnel
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Computer proficiency
• Reliable transportation

Training

This position requires 5–7 days of mandatory training at the corporate office Monday through Friday, 8:45 AM–4:15 PM. UCP Heartland will pay for the mandatory training.

All UCP Heartland schedules/shifts are awake shifts.
