About the role

Developmentalist Coordinators coordinate with management in monitoring active treatment of intellectually disabled individuals. The Coordinator position provides direct supervision of assigned staff and functional supervision of building staff. Additionally, the Coordinator is the direct supervisor for the LDSP’s on the midnight shift and the up-line chain of command for all midnight shift DSP staff within the unit. The Coordinator provides training/in-servicing to building staff independently and in coordination with the training department. Assists management to ensure that all policy violations and disciplines are handled in a consistent and timely manner. Developmentalist Coordinators ensure building environments are in compliance with Title XIX standards and exercise independent judgement in identifying and solving routine problems regarding facilities and services.

Responsibilities

  • Cook with management in monitoring active treatment of intellectually disabled individuals.
  • Provide direct supervision of assigned staff and functional supervision of building staff.
  • Provides training/in-servicing to building staff independently and in coordination with the training department.
  • Aids management in ensuring that all policy violations and disciplines are handled in a consistent and timely manner.
  • Ensures building environments are in compliance with Title XIX standards.
  • Exercises independent judgement in identifying and solving routine problems regarding facilities and services.
  • Direct Support Professionals in leadership and management responsibilities.
  • Modeling direct care services to include bathing, showering, dressing, toileting or changing incontinent briefs (diapering), and oral hygiene.

Qualifications

  • At least one year managerial/supervisor experience working at USDC.
  • Direct knowledge and skills related to USDC hiring processes, time management and all related upper level supervisory duties.
  • Ability to conduct investigations and direct working knowledge related to professional report writing.
  • Candidate must have knowledge and experience working in professional situations.
  • Candidate must be willing and able to flex schedule as needed for situational needs.
  • Preference may be given to those applicants with experience in training staff to work with people with disabilities.
  • Intermediate experience in developing a training program to include documentation and tracking.
  • Two or more years paid experience working with individuals with an intellectual disability.

Requirements

Pay

$26.06 - $41.30 Hourly Wage

Schedule

Monday - Friday: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with Saturday/Sunday off. It also requires you to work one early day and one late day a week. The late/early day will be discussed with your supervisor. Work schedule may change based on agency needs.
