DSP Community Participation Supports (CPS)

Responsibilities

• Treating people with dignity and respect
• Encouraging personal discovery, development, and enhancing self-esteem
• Promoting independence in all aspects of a person’s life
• Helping each person to identify, realize and celebrate their hopes and dreams
• Providing each person choices whenever possible
• Encouraging independence while at the same time providing supports as needed
• Reporting to work as scheduled, which may include working at other facilities, houses, apartments or as specified on holidays/snow days, and mandatory overtime
• Understanding of and compliance with all Citizen Care, Inc.’s Personnel Policies and Procedures and licensing regulations

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older
• High School Diploma or GED
• One (1) year work experience providing services and supports to people with intellectual disabilities
• A valid Pennsylvania, Ohio, or West Virginia driver’s license
• Ability to lift and transfer without restriction
• Very dependable
• Act 34 and FBI Clearances (if applicable)
• Excellent references, both personal and professional
