Responsibilities
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities in a residential setting
- Assist individuals with activities of daily living, such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and household chores
- Implement individualized support plans and goals under the direction of the Residential Services Coordinator
- Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals at all times
- Encourage individuals to participate in social, recreational, and community activities
- Document daily progress and any incidents or concerns in individual files
- Communicate effectively with individuals, families, and staff members
- Attend trainings and meetings as required
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and autism preferred
- Ability to pass a criminal & driver's background check
- Valid CT driver's license, current registration and auto insurance
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- CPR & PMT certified preferred, but will provide training
- DDS Med Certified preferred, but will provide training
