DSI Territory Sales Representative - Zion Crossroads, VA

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Trips to customer locations to present company products, services, and pricing information professionally
• Sets up appropriate paperwork for management such as expense reports and call reports according to company requirements
• Maintains records for sales forecasts, territory potential, workload analysis, call programs, and delivery/sales routes
• Collects and reports competitive information to management
• Attends training activities and trade shows to present information about company products and services
• Proposes additions to or modifications of the company's product offerings as appropriate
• Provides detailed product information to customers, including functionality, performance, and price
• Recommends products and services that best meet customer needs
• Accurately documents customer orders
• Uses advanced product knowledge to assist customers
• Handles customer complaints and issues promptly with assistance from management
• Assists in training new sales representatives in the field
• Maintains a tidy and organized workspace
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Position Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills, capable of engaging customers in discussions about products and purchases, and building business relationships with new customers
• Ability to influence through knowledge and expertise
• Maintains confidentiality and uses discretion with business information
• Effective communication skills, able to present information and respond to questions in one-on-one and small group settings
• Problem-solving ability to handle few concrete variables in standardized situations
• Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) as per the insurer guidelines; must meet this requirement during annual insurance review
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED); Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Three to five years of experience in the wholesale water industry preferred
