DSI Technician 2nd

Qualifications

• High school diploma or technical school education.
• Minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of: Mechanical systems, Industrial electrical systems, Pneumatic systems, Hydraulic systems.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Excellent attendance and punctuality.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in a maintenance or manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Experience performing preventive maintenance procedures.
• Technical school certification in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance.
• Previous experience operating or maintaining DSI or similar automated cutting equipment.
• A strong focus and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
• The ability to learn multiple tasks.
• Self-motivated, strong time management and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain numerically controlled DSI equipment used to cut and portion raw chicken products.
• Inspect conveyors, spray heads, and related equipment to ensure proper cleanliness and operation.
• Perform preventative maintenance as assigned.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Report equipment malfunctions to the Maintenance Lead and Supervisor.
• Maintain clean work areas and follow GMP requirements.
• Follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout.
• Support production goals by minimizing equipment downtime.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
