DSHS Steilacoom Registered Nurse 2 - RN
About the role
Bring your professional skill, sound judgment, and compassion to the Behavioral Health and Treatment Center – Steilacoom Unit. We provide psychiatric and medical care to adults receiving competency restoration services. The work here is purposeful. You'll help residents regain stability, strengthen communication and coping skills, and prepare them to move forward in the legal process. As a Registered Nurse 2, you’ll collaborate with behavioral health professionals, social workers, and clinicians who share your commitment to high-quality care. Every shift offers the chance to use your clinical expertise in meaningful ways, which support residents through recovery, change, and growth. The Department of Social and Health Services’ (DSHS) vision that people find human services to shape their own lives requires that we come together with a sense of belonging, common purpose, shared values, and meaningful work. It is crucial to our agency’s vision that you bring a fairness, access, and social justice commitment to your work with DSHS. We strive to support all Washingtonians, including Black, Indigenous, and People of Color, people with physical, behavioral health, and intellectual disabilities, elders, LGBTQIA+ individuals, immigrants and refugees, and families building financial security.
