About the role
The Nurse Supervisor at Eastern State Hospital will demonstrate compassionate patient care, a strong work ethic, and consistent good judgment to provide supportive leadership on the ward they supervise. Key to success includes clear communication with the team and interactions with staff.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a leader on the ward, supervising, educating, coaching, and mentoring nursing staff.
- Foster a caring environment that respects patients' dignity.
- Manage nursing care on the ward and shift, including administering medications and treatments.
- Collaborate with all members of the healthcare team to ensure high-quality nursing care for patients with behavioral health conditions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to plan, deliver, and evaluate patient care.
- Lead in case of health emergencies, therapeutically intervening to de-escalate patients' behavior.
Requirements
- A Registered Nurse with a valid Washington State RN license or the ability to obtain one by the start of employment.
- Two years of professional nursing experience.
Qualifications

Additional opportunities include:
- Opportunities performed on-site at least three days a week may be eligible for an additional 5% premium pay.
- Night shift includes a $1.50 per hour shift differential, $2.50 per hour shift premium, and additional $4.00 per hour for hours worked Friday Midnight through Sunday Midnight.
Pay
$30.00 - $32.00 per hour.
Schedule
Shifts include:
- First week: 2:30PM-11:00PM, Sunday & Friday off.
- Second week: 2:30PM-11:00PM, Monday & Saturday off.
- Additional opportunity with Evening Shift: 2:30pm - 11pm, Friday & Saturday off.
