DSCS Specialist (Digital)
Part-time telework position based in Houston, TX, requiring at least three days per week in-person at the assigned office or project site.
About the role
Bechtel’s Manufacturing and Technology (M&T) Business Unit is designing, building, and commissioning a semiconductor fabrication facility in Clay, NY. In this role, you will partner with stakeholders to understand the evolution of Digital Supply Chain tools, assess impacts and risks, and incorporate feedback to determine industry best practices. You will update or contribute to governance documents, training materials, and Supply Chain work processes. Your insights on end-user adoption will help Program Management ensure Digital Supply Chain tools meet requirements.
Responsibilities
- Deliver updated Supply Chain work processes and procedures relative to execution of Digital Supply Chain, aligned with overall Supply Chain Governance and instructions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) and 5–8 years of relevant experience, or 9–12 years of relevant work experience.
- Extensive knowledge of vendor materials, tools, consumables, and safety materials commonly used during construction.
- Experience with receiving documentation and paperwork requirements.
- Strong automation skills; ability to learn new applications quickly, including Digital Supply Chain Systems (DSCS).
- Working knowledge of material storage and handling of equipment.
- Understanding of field purchasing functions.
- Experience with rental agreements and administration.
- Experience in work packaging materials for construction planning.
- Proficient in organizing tasks for completion by agreed deadlines.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
