Drywaller / Finish Carpenter

About the role

This is a full-time, hands-on role focused on high-quality drywall repair, finishing, texture matching, and painting in residential and light commercial properties. Much of the work involves post-loss restoration (water damage, fire, mold remediation), so attention to detail, speed, and clean workmanship are essential.

Responsibilities

• Hang, tape, mud, and finish drywall (all levels of finish)
• Match existing textures (orange peel, knockdown, smooth, etc.)
• Prep surfaces thoroughly (sanding, priming, masking, protecting floors and finishes)
• Apply interior paint, primers, and specialty coatings
• Perform final touch-ups and quality control before job completion
• Maintain a clean, organized job site and properly store materials/equipment
• Communicate clearly with project managers and crew leads regarding progress and material needs
• Follow all safety protocols and company standards

Requirements

• Minimum 3+ years of professional drywall finishing and painting experience
• Strong ability to match textures and produce clean, professional finishes
• Experience working in occupied homes and restoration environments
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on ladders/scaffolding
• Willingness to work overtime and occasional weekends when needed for restoration schedules
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen
