About the role
Hands-on leadership in commercial drywall and metal stud framing, combined with safe operation of a box truck. Responsible for overseeing on-site activities, transporting materials, reading blueprints, and ensuring project quality and safety.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise drywall and framing tasks to meet project specifications.
- Perform metal stud framing, drywall hanging, taping, mudding, and finishing.
- Safely operate and drive a box truck for material and equipment transportation.
- Read and interpret blueprints and layout drawings for accurate installation.
- Install doors, frames, and support rough carpentry activities.
- Conduct basic inspections of truck and tools, track inventory, and support site safety.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial drywall, metal stud framing, and finishing.
- Ability to read and interpret commercial blueprints and drawings.
- Proficiency with hand tools, tape measures, and carpentry tasks.
- Experience operating a box truck safely and efficiently.
- Additional skills in acoustical ceilings, painting, and inventory management are a plus.
- Certifications such as OSHA 10/30 preferred.
Work Environment
