About the Role

Mr. Handyman is expanding its team of handyman professionals to continue delivering exceptional home repair and maintenance services. The position offers a company‑supplied van with a gas card, a back‑office that fills your schedule, an office team that handles all customer calls, flexible hours, an iPad with technology support for the ServiceTitan system, and more.

Responsibilities

• Complete small to medium maintenance and repair projects for home and commercial customers, ranging from two hours to two days.
• Communicate with customers to recommend solutions, set expectations about scope of work and costs, and manage those expectations.
• Deliver a great experience that creates life‑long repeat customers by following the “Mr. Handyman Way” repeatable process.

Performance Measurement

• Customer Satisfaction (NPS) – maintain high survey response and satisfaction rates.
• Revenue Target – generate additional service opportunities after the initial job.
• Effective Billing Rate – invoice accurately, source needed materials, and collect payment.
• Recall Percentage – ensure work is completed correctly the first time, as all work is guaranteed for one year.

Requirements

• Live within the service area.
• 8+ years of paid handyman experience.
• Own your own tools.
• Insurable to drive the company vehicle.
• Pass a background and driving record check.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds independently.
• Ability to work safely at heights and for extended periods overhead.
• Professional appearance and maintenance of the company‑provided vehicle.
• Strong proficiency in at least three of the following:
  • Carpentry work
  • Bathroom improvements
  • Kitchen improvements
  • Painting (interior and exterior)
  • Drywall work (minor and major repairs)
  • General plumbing and electrical (where allowed by law)
  • Floor installation and refurbishing
  • Familiarity with building codes

Pay

The pay range for this position is $26.88 to $34.56 per hour, dependent on experience and expertise in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and drywall work.
