Drywall Repair Technician
About the role
The Patch Boys is seeking a skilled Drywall Finisher to join our team. This position involves a variety of tasks including texture and finish services, material determination, and customer interaction.
Responsibilities
- Texture and finish drywall and plaster services
- Work on both new and existing walls and ceilings
- Determine and identify proper materials and quantities for projects
- Evaluate customer requests, troubleshoot issues, and present work descriptions
- Fit and fasten wallboard or sheetrock into specified positions
- Measure, mark, and cut materials, considering framing, drywall, and trim
- Install insulation between studs and attach a plastic moisture barrier
- Remove old/damaged plaster, drywall, or paneling as needed
Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years of proven experience in drywall hanging, installation, patching, repairing, and finishing, including texture matching (with references)
- Your own hand tools and knives
- Own a smartphone with a data plan
- Reliable transportation and a clean driving record
- Pass a criminal background check
- Pass a drug screening
