Drywall Department Home Building Team Members contribute to building homes for families by performing specific tasks within the facility. Every position follows standard production methods and safe work habits to ensure efficiency and safety.

Responsibilities

• Practice safe work habits in compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Work in a team environment to produce high-quality homes that meet sales orders, prints, specifications, and building codes.
• Serve as a steward of company assets by protecting tools and equipment, reporting maintenance needs, and maintaining a clean workspace.
• Assist Team Leaders and Area Coordinators in planning manufacturing activities by communicating material shortages, tool maintenance needs, and productivity or quality issues.
• Meet attendance requirements, including punctuality and adherence to division rules.
• Perform Drywall Department tasks such as sheetrock finishing, drywall mud mixing, sanding, painting, and touch-up.

Requirements

• Versatility and willingness to transfer into various departments as needed.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment.
• Physical ability to walk, climb, lift at least 50 lbs, stand for at least 8 hours, and perform bending, squatting, stooping, lifting above shoulder level, and reaching to the floor.
• Efficient and clear communication with team members.
• Ability to read architectural and engineering drawings (desired).

Skills

• Essential tool knowledge: mud knife and pan, utility knife.
