Dryer 2 Operator

About the role

The Dryer Operator at the Wayland location provides support to the Production team, driving and supporting key initiatives to improve performance throughout the plant.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize employee and food safety, ensuring the quality of our products.
• Maintain production at the scheduled rate while demonstrating TreeHouse Values.
• Understand dryer theory of operations, recognize signs requiring system adjustments, and make necessary adjustments.
• Inspect, clean, operate, start-up, shut down, changeover, and perform basic troubleshooting on assigned equipment.
• Ensure materials required to run the line remain stocked; handle product inventory using forklifts, pallet jacks, scanners, etc.
• Direct a team of peers to safely and efficiently complete “Clean In Place” (CIP), plug clearing, and other assigned activities.
• Perform operations in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and collaborate to update them as needed.
• Engage in continuous improvement activities such as line performance tracking, execution of CILs, and ‘drum beats’.
• Assist in training and mentoring other team members.
• Maintain a safe and clean work area; identify and correct safety and food safety issues.
• Adhere to Safety and Quality protocols, including Ergonomics, LOTO, PPE, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
• Comply with GMPs, SOPs, Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP), LOTO procedures, and other TreeHouse Foods policies.
• Complete all required documentation legibly and with strong attention to detail.
• Successfully multi-task and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience following instructions, process documents, and providing effective communication (verbal and written).
• Experience operating a sit-down forklift.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends.
• All employees are responsible for the quality and food safety of all products produced in this facility.

Schedule

This is a full-time, 3rd shift position operating Thursday through Monday (12 AM to 8 AM) with Tuesdays and Wednesdays off. Shift differential included for 2nd and 3rd shifts.
